“Every saint has a past, and every sinner has a future.” ~ Oscar Wilde
Judgement is a funny thing, everyone does it, even the best of us. The hard part is learning when you’re passing judgement and correcting yourself. It takes a long time, a lot of introspection and I’ll be honest…I don’t know that I’ll ever stop.
I do try though. As part of my final post for 2014 I stated that, “the gift of mine to see why people make the choices they do, is not the same as condoning them.” Part of this is my attempts to understand others and not jump to conclusions. Empathy has always been a gift and a curse of mine, but I realize all good things come with a downside. It’ll never be perfect, I will never be perfect, you will never be perfect and the universe is only perfect in it’s imperfections. (Which, by the by I love this John McLaughlin song.)
Today I managed to work on balancing my Quicken a bit and make Chicken & Rice soup. We’ll see how it tastes in a couple hours. As I finish this up I will be deleting my Facebook for January. You can follow Domestic Dysfunction there or on Bloglovin if you’d like.
Cheers & Beers,
